Birds certainly do like to choose original homes for their nest. This would have been very secure too.
Love the idea of the postie sticking up that sign - wonder if it is a peculiarly 'English' thing or do notes appear like that elsewhere in the world?

Birds don't seem to bother where they nest - saw a picture of a nest in a traffic light a few years back.
They don't mind where they nest. Saw a picture of one nesting in a traffic light a couple of years ago!
