Welcome to Astrid's first Photo Hunt. She has selected the word Chocolate for our first prompt; a very appropriate word. I'm sure that where ever you are, we all associate chocolate Easter Eggs and Hot Cross Buns with this time of the year.
We have always given our grandsons either a chocolate egg or sometimes a chocolate rabbit and this year is no exception. I have been itching to buy them ever since they came into the shops. B kept telling me that they are grown up now and I don't need to get them an Easter egg but eventually gave in. We are expecting to see them this weekend with their girl friends as we are allowed to see people so long as we stick to the rule of 6 and are outside in the garden. My picture shows three chocolate bunnies, two blue and one pink and one box of milk free eggs for one GF who has to avoid dairy products. I had a job to take the photograph, the foil wrapping was so shiny.
Nice rabbits. If we were seeing our grandkids at Easter, we'd possibly give them eggs too, even though most of them are basically grown up. Take care & hugs.
ReplyDeleteThanks. The only trouble with an Easter Bunny is taking that first bite - do you go for the ears or start with the base!! Hugs to you too. Happy Easter. xx
DeleteWhat a lovely composition you created for the photo. I suppose Africa is too hot for much chocolate! In my book one is never too old for an Easter egg/bunny/whatever! x
ReplyDeleteThank you. When we were living in South Africa and friend returned from UK with one of those bags of mixed mini chocolates for our sewing group. All the chocolate had gone a funny shade of white. SA chocolate is made with something in it to put up with the heat.
ReplyDeletePS. We still ate them. Tasted fine.
I like the rabbits, especially the pink one - it would look nice as an ornament in my pink/grey bedroom :)
ReplyDeleteThanks. Yes, they do look rather like china. But would he last as an ornament....or would he be eaten ?? xx
DeleteI can remember buying a kitkat in RSA and they were in the chiller cabinet, by the time we reach the car it was soft, then when I opened it - it was like drinking chocolate milk (slight exaggeration but it was super soft and folded over as I opened the packet)
ReplyDeleteYes, they did get rather soft in the height of summer in spite of them being made to withstand the heat and not get that white covering. xx🧡
DeleteHappy Easter and enjoy your ‘rule of 6’ gathering. We are off to friends this afternoon, though I think we are going to be a bit chilly, Hoping for sunshine tomorrow, 😃
ReplyDeleteThank you. Yes it was freezing. We were supplied with loads of crochet and fleece blankets and mini hot water bottles to keep warm. But it was worth it, just to be with all the family made it all worth while. x
DeleteThanks for joining in and how sweet that you have something for your grandsons and their girlfriends. You can never be too old for chocolate, right?!
ReplyDeleteI couldn't agree more.....you are never to old for chocolate at Easter or any time of the year. xx

ReplyDeleteThat's such a sweet (excuse the pun) collection - lovely colours. I hope you enjoyed your get together. We're still only allowed 4 from 2 households here in the garden but it's been a lovely change.
ReplyDeleteLove the chocolate bunnies and the china one
