This weeks prompt chosen by Astrid is 'The Colour Purple'. Fortunately I do still have a few pictures that will fit that heading so here goes.
THE COLOUR PURPLE
While searching through my archives - fortunately all saved on a Photo Stick - I noticed how the flame on this burning Christmas pudding was a shade of purple.
Another Christmas picture, this time of a lovely felt heart tree decoration made for me a few years ago by Kate. It always has pride of place on our tree each year.
A photographs of our daughter-in-law's wellies in the garden of a holiday cottage in Northumberland taken some years ago.
More purple pictures this time of flowers taken around gardens and places we have visited.
This picture was taken in The Shambles during a visit to York some years ago. These people always fascinate me. I know I could not keep still that long, my nose would itch!!!
Remember those gorgeous wellies in an earlier picture..................well look who is wearing them now!!
and now wearing our son's wellies too!!!
Roxy, their dear chocolate labrador, who is sadly no longer with us.
Now off to see what everyone else has posted. Keep well and stay safe. Many regulations have been lifted here in the UK this week so what with that and the spring weather, life does seem a little brighter. xx
I love those wellies. We saw some of those people ‘statues’ in Barcelona ... they really are fascinating and I could watch them for ages 😃
ReplyDeleteWe saw him sitting on his bike with his dog then a bit later walking around. It was so odd.😀
DeleteI really enjoyed these. Why did I not think of purple foxgloves..... Love Roxy in the wellies; I have selected the Christmas pudding as my favourite, it being edible! x
ReplyDeleteYes, I too love Christmas pudding with brandy butter, cream, icecream.....anything in fact||
DeleteDavid could make Roxy do anything he asked. xx
Great set of photos C. & love the wellies & the heart. Roxy must have been very patient, with being put into wellies both front & back. Sad she's no longer around. I've only been able to find flowers, but really wanted something quirky. Take care, stay safe & hugs.
ReplyDeleteThank you. David could make Roxy do anything. She had been well trained - all our dogs were as B had worked with Police dogs and eventually trained dogs for the Prison Service - obedience and for public displays. Keep well and keep crafting. xx
DeleteI like the purple man on the bike and the flowery wellies but my favourite just has to be the last one. Roxy must have been so patient bless her :)
ReplyDeleteThank you. Yes Roxy would do anything for our son. She was very well trained as is Moss. B. worked with Police Dogs and then went on to train dogs for guard duties and public displays. So our 'children' grew up with well behaved dogs. x
ReplyDeleteAren't hand made Christmas decorations so special to take out each year - this was the first year we didn't bother with a tree and I totally missed the dressing the tree bit. And those wellies are cool ..:). Poor dog lol
ReplyDeleteThere are so many lovely purple flowers - fabulous selection.
What a great collection of photos. Perfect capture of the pudding, and it looks delicious! Sweet ornament from Kate and Roxy is so adorable in those purple boots. Thanks for sharing your collection!
ReplyDeleteSorry its a late reply. I too love that picture of Roxy in the purple boots. We do not have a dog anymore so Roxy, Jess and Moss feature strongly in our lives as our Grand=dogs. 🦴 x
