Many years ago, whilst our son and daughter-in-law were still living in South Africa, Jenn embroidered this border on a hand towel for my mother who was delighted with it as it was covered in cats, each one different. It is now mine and I use it all the time and only noticed a couple of days ago that the red background in the centre circle is actually made up of four hearts. Maybe we are becoming more 'heart conscious' at the moment! I will offer the excuse that it is usually folded in half longways over the towel rail right through the hearts in the centre.
Ooh, so cute. Lovely handwork too. Yes, I'm also noticing hearts everywhere & nearly have enough for next year now. Take care.
ReplyDeleteYes, we are definitely more 'heart conscious' after this hearty exercise. x f
DeleteI have always loved that little border, mainly coz I would be looking at the cats - like you - never noticed the hearts! Makes me wonder what else in life we miss??!!
ReplyDeleteYou are right, I am sure we walk through life missing many small details. x
DeleteGreat border but I'd never use the towel as it would be too precious. Yes the hearts are obvious once you see them!
ReplyDeleteI agree it is precious but I would rather see it out that put away in a drawer. I only use it to dry the handle of my toothbrush before putting it away so it is hardly overworked. x
DeleteThat is gorgeous!!!
