This set of hanging birds with a heart hangs on the side of
my kitchen cupboard. Youngest grandson
gave me the original hanging of a tin plate bird, flower and heart a few years ago and then
this Christmas Hawthorn gave me the bird at the bottom. I managed to attach it to the original three
and love the way it just fits in there.
In case you wonder what the object is hanging below – it is a plastic
doily that I put on plain Victoria sponges and then sprinkle icing sugar on top
before carefully removing it to leave a very pretty pattern on the cake.
They are very pretty

New chrimbly birdie looks right at home with the rest :) very pretty! I've not used my tin bird heart yet - will save it for another year x
ReplyDeleteAnother year!? I have used up all my indoors hearts, will have to start looking outside during the coming year.
DeleteThink I somehow missed your 5th post, but the bracelet is lovely. On this one (6th), I hope you realise the doily also has hearts on it! The bird hanger is very cute too. Take care.
ReplyDeleteThat is amazing. I have had that plastic doily for years, at least 8, and never saw the hearts. My eyes were on the spaces to fill with icing sugar, not on the actual design. I have not photographed it to use as a heart on another day. Thanks for pointing it out, I was needing an extra heart. x
DeleteI have just laid the heart on a coloured background and the hearts jumped out at me. I must also admit that not only does it hang on a white cupboard but I hang a round flat digital scale from the same hook which covers it. x
DeleteWell done Susan to spot the hearts on the doily. Adding the new bird to the existing decoration was a great idea; it just looks as if it has always been there.
