Some years ago Hawthorn challenged the ladies of our Knit
and Natter group to make a heart for Valentine’s Day. I can’t remember why I did not knit or
crochet a heart – though it maybe because I am not very good at them – but I
ended up searching through my laces and trimmings and decorating this one I
made out of a bit of red fabric. Most fortuitously
I had lace with hearts in the pattern of both pieces. It now hangs, linked up to other hearts that
Hawthorn crocheted for me over the years (I still can’t made decent heart
shapes), some of which I will use on another day.
So cute & will we see the ones Hawthorn has done too? I've never tried to crochet a heart, but do have quite a few patterns I've printed off. See you tomorrow. Take care.
ReplyDeletetime to get you crocheting hearts me thinks! I know, how about this afternoon at knit and natter??? Good idea, see you later x
ReplyDeleteThere is a problem with that suggestion.....I natter too much! Do love the heart you made - thanks for the link. x
DeleteI don't recall making hearts at KnK but it might have been before I joined or I've had a senior moment and have forgotten!
ReplyDeleteYes, it was a long time ago. Perhaps before you joined us as you said. So no, I don't think it was a senior moment. x
